GROOMING AND GREATER SWISS MOUNTAIN DOGS

HAIR

Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs are easy to groom. It is sufficient to brush them once a week to remove old and loose hair. They change fur twice a year, and in those days it is recommended to brush them regularly. We advise against using shampoos when bathing them.

TEETH

You can buy toothbrushes for dogs in animal shops. Preferably, the puppy should get used to showing its teeth (while its mouth is shut we just lift their lips). This method can also be used for cleaning their teeth. There are also "desserts" in the form of food, which prevent the formation of tartar. These, too, can be bought in animal shops.

CLAWS

If the dog moves a lot it also sharpens its claws and it is not necessary to further shorten them. Otherwise, we may trim them when necessary. We should be careful to cut only the amount that is necessary.

EARS
Ears should occasionally be cleaned with a damp cloth and never with cotton sticks!
